Program Overview

Accreditation

Since 1992, Myotherapy Massage College has been accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). MMC is state-approved and meets Utah’s licensing requirements (as well as for most other states).

Our Original Core Program

The Massage Therapy – Basic Core program requires students to complete 796 clock hours. Full-time students can complete the program in less than nine months. This includes a total of 30 weeks of classes—three ten-week terms plus breaks between terms. Part-time students can complete the program in less than 15 months. This includes 50 weeks of classes—five ten-week terms plus breaks between terms.

Accelerate Your Success – Accelerated Program

Introducing our Accelerated Program—a fast-track route to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in just four months. Immerse yourself in an intensive learning environment, designed for students committed to achieving their goals efficiently. With 708 clock hours packed into 16 weeks, this program is your express ticket to a fulfilling career in massage therapy.

Continued Education

At Myotherapy, learning doesn’t end with graduation. We believe in supporting our alumni on their journey to excellence through continued education opportunities. Whether you’re looking to specialize in a particular massage technique, expand your knowledge in related fields, or stay updated on the latest industry trends, our school offers a range of advanced courses and workshops to help you continue growing as a massage therapist. Stay connected with us beyond graduation and keep your skills sharp for a successful and fulfilling career ahead.

Experienced Instructors

MMC’s instructors are practicing Licensed Massage Therapists and bodyworkers with a passion for teaching. Our teachers average more than 15 years of both teaching and professional experience as massage therapists.

Small Class Size and Personal Attention

MMC’s teachers are able to provide personalized instruction and guidance as class sizes for bodywork classes do not exceed 16 students. Classes with 12 to 16 students have an additional LMT working with the instructor as a Teaching Assistant to maintain lower student/teacher ratios

Flexibility In Scheduling

MMC offers both day and evening classes Monday through Thursday. Day classes are held 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and evening classes begin at 6:45 p.m. Generally full-time students attend during the day, and part-time students in the evening, but students may include both day and evening classes in their schedule and make adjustments from term to term.

After Graduation

Upon graduation, you will be qualified to sit for Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEX) provided by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) to obtain licensure.

Why Choose the Accelerated Program

A key benefit of this concentrated effort is being able to work full-time as a licensed massage therapist in less than five months after beginning the program, earning money in your new profession much sooner than is possible through most massage education programs. This program is designed to meet licensure requirements in 40 of the 45 states that require licensure for massage therapists, and MMC is prepared to serve students from throughout the US.

This program is particularly intended for those who plan to begin their new career working for well-established massage businesses offering the benefits of ongoing professional development and learning from more experienced colleagues and mentors. Initial employment with massage studios or spas allows new therapists to focus on improving their skills without the distractions and challenges of fulfilling multiple roles associated with starting their own business right out of school.
